Fur tattoo layer- Some Fur by Even Tide @ Medieval Fantasy Fair
I promised I would be back with more from the Medieval Fantasy Fair,
so here I am! First, let me thank all the awesome creators out there
that reached out to me with their awesome stuff.
Without all of you, this blog might not be so pretty.

Anyway... Opening day for the Medieval Fantasy Fair was
today! I was on sim for a little and it looked like it
was off to a good start. So if you visited, awesome! If you didn't,
you should.

In the picture above, my avvie is wearing a really subtle fur
tattoo layer. Subtle is usually better. The fur can be found at the
Medieval Fantasy Fair and it's made by Even Tide. I'm also wearing
patches from the same store, but you can't see it in that shot,
which brings us too...

The only thing different in her outfit in this shot from the other is the patches
on her back Again, subtle. This is a gacha prize.
The other thing about this shot is the totem poles. They're made by Lilith's Den,
also found at the fair. Really well done.

And lastly...

I know I recently blogged a pirate look, but I really liked this outfit and
wanted to blog it as well. The whole outfit comes in a pack
The outfit is created by Designs by Isaura and found at

Hopefully, for my next blog, I will be focusing on a more
modern, apocalyptic feel. Remember! If you have a sim
you think I should review, let me know!

Exciting news and previews!

 Exciting news!!
I've been asked to blog for the Medieval Fantasy
Fair and Hunt! The theme this round is Nordic myths and legends.
There is a ton of stuff, so you should definitely check it out.
It only runs from Sept 20- Sept 28, 2014, so go ASAP.

The picture above was taken on the fair's sim. The sim looks great.
Because you can't see my avatar's outfit all that well, I'll get in to the look in greater
detail later. I will say, though, that the bow and arrow I'm wearing are from
Southpaw (the same place that created my ears!) And both the
weapon and ears are found at the fair. The bow is
powered by A&D and comes with instructions. So it's not just a pretty decoration.

Moving on!
At the fair, they are celebrating and featuring an up and coming artist by
the name of Svala Moragdóttir (jasmin.lavecchia). She
creates scenes for use on RP sims. The three featured scenes, (pics below!), are
totally exclusive to the fair and will not be found again after. So get
it while the getting is good.
For those of you that can't tell, this is a birthing scene.
It is fairly graphic, but really good work. Maybe not for use on PG sims.

Fight scene in front of burning tent. Yes, that woman is bloody,
and yes, that man is dead.

Slave cart. Enough said.
So, as you can tell, the scenes are worth the buy.

Last picture!!

The Isle of Dee- a different kind of RP

This week, I'm blogging a new type of RP sim.
The name of the sim itself is The Isle of Dee. The owners
describe the sim as a "life style" sim.
What makes Dee so unique is the approach in which they take to
rp. It's extremely casual. You can rent a place on the sim
and choose to live your character, or show up and socialize out of character (OOC).

The sim is medieval fantasy based and is perfect for anyone
new to rp. You can be almost anything you choose, from drow, to elves,
humans, gypsies, pixies, and anything else you can dream of. More info
here.

Dee has events all the time, including a weekly bard telling,
constant hunts, and other events. Well... this will
explain it in the word's of the creators of this unique world.

My recommendation is to visit the sim. Even if
the style isn't for you, the scenery is great, and there's a lot of great shops
to check out. If you're new to roleplaying and you need a comfortable place
to get started, this is place is perfect for you.

And now... The look!

Tips for RPing- whether you're new or seasoned.

My favorite thing about Second Life is the ability to assume
any character you want to be or play.
Always wanted to be a mermaid when you were younger? Go for it! Always thought
you belonged in the middle ages? Try it out!
You can even just be a regular person doing regular, every day things.
The choice is yours.

But often, people need tips on what to do or how to get started. So that's what I'm dedicating
this week to.

1.Read up on the "sim lore" or story and their rules.
If you don't read up on the lore, you will never know what works for your character.
You wouldn't want to be shooting guns in a medieval sim.
Some sims have certain ways of doing combat and their own rules.
Read before you go any further.

2. Observe the sim!
Make sure you like how the players RP. Observing can
also give you an idea where to go with your character.

3. Create a character.
Create a character that works with the sim. Don't bring a cyborg
to a medieval sim. Make sure your character
has flaws as well as strengths. No one is indestructible, neither should your
character be.

4. Don't be afraid to IM players or admin.
Whether it's a question about lore or the sim in general, communicate!
This is especially important for sims that are heavily
based in family RP, i.e. Game Of Thrones. Sometimes,
you may even want to IM people to ask if they're there before
starting a scene, especially if they're not already in the middle of a scene.

5. Wait a second before joining any scene.
You walk up on a group of two or more people already RPing. Wait until they've posted
until you "post in". Pick up on any clues as to what's going on.
You wouldn't want to walk up and do something silly, only to find out later
that character was bleeding in the street or there was a fight
going on. Find out what's up first and respond accordingly.

6. You go to the RP, don't trust it to come to you!
This is a complaint I constantly hear out of seasoned players. They leave a sim because
"the RP dried up." Chances are that they're staying in one spot waiting
for a scene to find them. Walk around. RP that your character is getting some fresh air.
Chances are pretty good that you'll find something that way.

7. Keep IC and OOC seperate!
What happens to your character is in character (IC) and should never be confused
with what happens to you out of character (ooc). If someone snubs your
character or doesn't like your character, don't assume that they
feel that way about you. Help avoid so much drama!
